Site investigation has become an important issue in Turkey after 1999 earthquake. It is crucial for construction of new buildings and it gives lots of information (ground topography, ground periods, local ground class, ground profile, geological units, bearing capacity, slope - landslide condition, underground water level, problems, engineering parameters) about the ground.

These studies include:
- information about terrain structure and topography
- number and depth of drillings due to the condition of the construction (Drilling is supported by studies of research pits if necessary)
- CPT experiment is made at each 1.5 meters and experiment samples is tagged properly
- ground samples are taken at each 3 meters with Shelby tubes. Both rims of these samples are closed with paraffin and tagged.
- if necessary core specimen is taken and these specimen are kept in appropriate core chests.
- these samples are sent to the laboratory in order to apply the ground mechanics experiments (atterberg limits, natural density, water ingredients, 1 and 3 axis pressure resistance, consolidation)
- rock mechanics experiments are made over the core specimen (point load resistance, 1 axis pressure resistance)
- underground water level is determined and BST and permeability experiments are made if necessary
After all terrain and laboratory studies, office working will be started. At this step drilling and research pit logs will be prepared in all detail. These logs will be delivered to the customer with computer-based site investigation report.
EKA completes site investigation studies with its experienced drilling personnel and engineers.
